About

Nov 21, 2013

KENSINGTON, MN The Kensington Runestone - was it really left here by Vikings? Whether or not, it was really found here in rural Minnesota over a hundred years ago. Lakes Country Living travels to the actual site of discovery, today the largest and most scenic county park in Douglas County. Hear the story as told by Park Superintendent Al Lieffort. Then plan to come and visit this beautiful location on Minnesota's Glacial Ridge Scenic Byway. Whether to tour the original farmstead that stood here in 1898, or to enjoy a beautiful park with many distinct geological features... we think you'll be glad you did.
