Management

With the help of Great River Greening, 19 acres at the northwest corner of the park have beed restored to oak savanna. The project began in 2014 and was expected to be completed in 2017. Invasive woody species, including buckthorn and boxelder, have been cut, reduced to wood chips, and carted away. The area will underwent a controlled burn to stimulate the growth of understory vegetation. Following that, it was be seeded with 6 to 8 species of prairie grasses and 20 to 30 species of wildflowers.

Thanksgiving Day Walk at Terrace Oaks in Burnsville. At the time of the walk it was 15 degrees, rather chilly for a Thanksgiving Day, even in Minnesota

Shot 100% on the new HERO3® camera from http://GoPro.com

Sweet little single track, with some cross country ski trail. Nothing too fancy but you can get a work out if you try. There are some short expert options as seen in the video.
