Vernal Season
Vernal Season |
||
The vernal season, also called spring, is the season when visible signs of life return to the landscape after a desolate hibernal (winter) and a mostly barren prevernal (pre-spring) season. Tree buds burst into leaves. Birds establish territories and begin mating and nesting. In Minnesota, the vernal season usually begins about May 1 and ends about June 15. |
