Getting There
According to the Minnesota DNR this SNA is accessible by canoe but not by land. The Delorme™ atlas shows an “Unimproved Road” or “Foot Trail” leading 0.8 mile from Goodhue County Road 1 east to the site. This is a dead-end gravel road that becomes a private driveway leading to a single farm house. There is a small paved field access just next to the woods at one point. It is large enough to park one vehicle. Unfortunately, it is on private property.

There is a narrow wooded corridor along both sides of the North Fork Zumbro River as it passes through farmland from CR 1 in the direction of the SNA. The corridor is negotiable though there is no trail. This may be the best way for a visitor to access the SNA, leaving the car on the shoulder near the bridge. Unfortunately, this, too, is on private property.

In 2006, I saw no yellow boundary signs on the river, near the road, or in the woods to indicate the location of the SNA.
