Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs)
Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) are sites that have been selected to preserve wildlife habitat in Minnesota. They are managed and owned by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. There are currently 1,440 WMAs in the state. Some have two or more units. There are currently (5/27/2020) 1,692 WMA units. All are open to the public. Most, but not all, allow hunting. |
