	Erigeron strigosus var. beyrichii Cronquist (Gleason & Cronquist, 1991) identified four varieties, including var. discoideus, with rayless flower heads, and var. beyrichii, with tiny flower heads. Yatskievych (Steyermark’s Flora of Missouri, Vol. 2, 2006) considers these rare, sporadic mutations within populations, and they should be considered forms, not varieties. FNA, ITIS, and Plants of the World Online treat var. beyrichii as a synonym of Erigeron strigosus var. strigosus. GBIF and World Flora Online treat var. beyrichii as a synonym of Erigeron strigosus. USDA PLANTS treats var. beyrichii as a valid variety.

	Narrow-leaved Coneflower July 2024... These were at Frenchman’s Bluff SNA on top of a hill. There were way more of those little white flowers which were all over the hill with a few coneflowers etc. scattered here and there. Photo is from a few weeks ago or so.
