About

No fewer than five rare plant species occur on the dry prairies of Oronoco Prairie SNA. An 80-acre kame and its gravelly outwash make up the west end of the site, perfect for the oak savanna found there. Dry gravel prairie and bedrock bluff prairie make up the eastern portion of the site, with shards of limestone bedrock mixed abundantly through the soil.
